Just when things seemed to be looking good for Liverpool over the past couple of weeks, the fixture against Bournemouth came along which has brought it with sets of news that has made the fans a little uncomfortable for the upcoming games.

The biggest blow delivered to the fans came from Jurgen Klopp who has revealed that Sadio Mane has had a nasty knee injury, the one he suffered against Everton, which might require surgery and will force him to be out for the remainder of the season.

If this was not enough misery for the Kopites, the manager further went on to add that Coutinho will also miss the next game against Stoke City due to illness.

“Sadio will, we’re pretty sure, need surgery. We’re not 100 percent sure when it will happen, but it is clear his season is over,” Klopp told in his press conference.

Mane has been Liverpool’s primary goal getter with 13 goals in 29 appearances so far and it was his absence in January that saw Liverpool suffer a dramatic dip in form which resulted in them running out of the title race.

However, him going missing for the remainder 7 games will make Liverpool’s Champions League qualification spot finish a little tougher than what they would have hoped it to be.

The Reds will also be without captain Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana against Stoke, a team that despite having a poor recent run of form and being 12th in the table, were praised by Klopp who claimed they were a tough opposition to face and a tougher place to visit.

The boss concluded by showing signs of being ready for the challenge as he said, “It’s a difficult place to go, but it’s the only place we want to be at tomorrow.”
