Manchester United managed to successfully bounce back from their draws at Old Trafford with a statement Premier League win over Sunderland, as the Red Devils scored three past the relegation-threatened Black Cats.

Here’s how Jose Mourinho’s men fared at Stadium of Light:

SERGIO ROMERO – 7
Kept a clean sheet, and distributed the ball very well to set United off on the counter. Reliable deputy.

MATTEO DARMIAN – 7
Looked much more comfortable on the right side of the defence. Kept Anichebe quiet.

ERIC BAILLY – 6
Had an easy game, but could have easily conceded a penalty in the first half.

MARCOS ROJO – 7
Led the back four to an important clean sheet.

LUKE SHAW – 7
Another brilliant performance from the young Englishman after Mourinho’s public criticism. Worked well in defence as well as on the attack, and put in some good crosses.

ANDER HERRERA – 7

A livewire in the middle of the park as always.

MAROUANE FELLAINI – 6
Helped the team with his physical presence, but could have passed the ball in a tidier fashion.

PAUL POGBA – 6
Grew into the game as minutes passed, and was much more impressive on the offense following United’s second goal.

JESSE LINGARD – 6
An energetic display. Troubled defenders with some good runs, but failed to find an end product.

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN – 7
Started the game poorly, but improved by the end of the first half. Put the game to bed with his early strike right after the break.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC – 7
Single-handedly put his team in front with a thunderous shot. Assisted Rashford in the dying minutes of the game, but could have bagged more assists.

SUBSTITUTES:

MARCUS RASHFORD – 7
Worked hard, and was rewarded for it with a goal thanks to his impressive link-up play with Zlatan.

ANTHONY MARTIAL – 6
Should have scored with his first touch of the ball. Unlucky to get booked.

DALEY BLIND – NA
