Bayern Trio Stormed Into Referee’s Dressing Room After Defeat Against Real, As Per Reports

Three Bayern Munich players stormed into the referee’s dressing room following their team’s 4-2 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid on Tuesday night, according to reports.

The two European giants battled hard at the Santiago Bernabeu for a Champions League semi-final berth, but it was the home side that came out on top thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo hattrick and a Marco Asensio strike, which helped them through the next round with a 6-3 aggregate win.

The game was full of controversial moments, however, as Hungarian referee Viktor Kassai angered the Bayern Munich players and supporters alike by making several incorrect decisions against them.

Not only was Bayern midfielder Arturo Vidal wrongly sent off in the 84th minute despite having won the ball fairly, but the latter two of Ronaldo’s three goals were incorrectly allowed despite the Portuguese superstar having been in an offside position.

These three poor decisions by the officials cost the Bundesliga side a place in the semi-finals, and the entire Bayern Munich roster raged against the referee for the unfair officiating.

In fact, according to reporter Jose Luis Sanchez of the Atresmedia TV programme ‘El Chiringuito de los Jugones,’ three Bayern Munich players, viz. Thiago Alcantara, Robert Lewandowski, and Arturo Vidal, barged into the referee’s dressing room after the full-time whistle, and threw insults at him before the police officers interfered and lured them away.

However, as per ESPN, the governing body had not received any information regarding this incident so far, as a UEFA spokesman told ESPN FC: “No disciplinary cases have been opened following Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League matches.”

The protests from the German club not only took place behind the scenes, as team manager Carlo Ancelotti also publicly criticised the refereeing decisions in his post-match interview, by stating: “He [Kassai] made a lot of mistakes and probably he was not good enough.”

Vidal, who was unfairly sent off, added: “It is very tough when they steal a game from you like that – two goals offside and me wrongly sent off. When two big teams meet like this in the Champions League, such a robbery cannot happen.”
