Barcelona Inch Closer To Signing Angel Di Maria

Barcelona are on verge of completing an unthinkable transfer of former Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria this summer.
The Catalan giants put in a solid performance in the El Classico recently, but they still have a lot of work to do if they are to snatch the La Liga title from the Bernabeu based outfit.
However, they are already looking to improve their squad for next season, and have been linked with some of the best players in Europe at the moment. But according to Spanish news outfit Don Balon, the La Liga side are now closing in one of the signature of Angel di Maria.
The former Real Madrid winger joined Manchester United from the La Liga side, only to be kicked out an year later. However, he has assumed a slightly deeper role in his time with PSG, which has seen him find some form recently.

The 29-year-old has 15 goals and 8 assists to his name this season, after having played 42 times for the French giants so far. But it is understood that PSG are ready to listen to offers for his services this summer, and the Spanish news outlet claims that Barcelona are the frontrunners for his signature.
The report also suggests that the La Liga powerhouse is ready to stump out around €60m for this summer switch, and want him to play a midfield role at Camp Nou next season.
It is also understood that Lionel Messi wants his international teammate to move back to Spain, and is convinced that he can help improve the Barca squad next season.
Having already played for Real Madrid, it will be interesting to see if Di Maria is up for a move to Catalonia this summer.
