Manchester United 1-1 Swansea City: Player Ratings

The Old Trafford faithful witnessed yet another frustrating draw on Sunday, as Manchester United failed to bag all three points by drawing 1-1 against Swansea.

Here’s how Jose Mourinho’s men fared during this crucial Premier League encounter:

DAVID DE GEA – 5
Began the game poorly, and was motionless whilst conceding Gylfi Sigurdsson’s free-kick. Perhaps distracted by all the Real Madrid rumours?

ASHLEY YOUNG – 6
Began the game on the right, but moved to the left after Shaw’s injury. Could’ve crossed the ball better.

ERIC BAILLY – 7
A rock at the back, but fell victim to injury as well after having played his ninth game this month.

DALEY BLIND – 6
Another great performance. Passed well from the back, but did whip in an abysmal free-kick.

LUKE SHAW – 5
Subbed off early due to a supposed groin injury.

ANDER HERRERA – 6
Not his usual impressive self. Fatigue seems to have taken its toll.

MICHAEL CARRICK – 6
Tidy display, bridged the defence with attack.

JESSE LINGARD – 4
Offered nothing from the right wing.

WAYNE ROONEY – 3

Scored from the spot, but was otherwise invisible. Slowed things down terribly. Gave away the free-kick which Sigurdsson converted.

ANTHONY MARTIAL – 6
Was the bright spark for the Red Devils during the first half. Tormented the full-back with his speed, but failed to find an end product. Blocked a certain Wayne Rooney goal.

MARCUS RASHFORD – 6
Worked hard, and his dive earned United the penalty. Delivered extremely poor corners.

SUBSTITUTES:

ANTONIO VALENCIA – 6
Was a decent outlet down the right, but his crosses weren’t nearly accurate enough.

MATTEO DARMIAN – 6
Did the job at center-back.

HENRIKH MKHITARYAN – 5
Brought energy to United’s attack. Should have replaced Rooney sooner.
