As all the domestic leagues around Europe head towards their conclusion, the title races in all places except Germany have begun heating up to the highest of points, and each match brings about intense drama and end-to-end action from teams giving in their all to win the coveted crowns they so passionately fight for.

The Ligue 1 had two massive matches take place this weekend which saw the sides involved in the title battle facing crucial ties, and hence, the excitement, intensity, and drama were at levels like never seen before.

Here are the results of a couple matches that took place:

Monaco 3-1 Toulouse

As the home side continues to inch towards their impossible dream of winning the Ligue 1 crown, it was the visitors Toulouse who faced the wrath and quality of a team hell bent on winning a title they truly deserve to.

With Mbappe among the goals once again, and Gilk and Lemar bagging one each, it was a comfortable victory for Monaco, which now sees them lead PSG by 3 points at the top of the table, with a game in hand.

Nice 3-1 Paris Saint-Germain

Mario Balotelli kicked off proceedings for Nice on a night which proved to be devastating for the visiting side and the defending champions, as they eventually ran out as 3-1 losers with a poor display of football, and ending up with 9 men on the pitch as a result of red cards received by Thiago Motta and Di Maria.

PSG were clearly frustrated by their failure to dominate the league this season, and this slip can prove to be telling if leaders Monaco capitalise on their game in hand advantage.
