Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Agent Gives An Update On His Knee Surgery
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has revealed that the Swede has successfully underwent a corrective surgery, and has spoken about what’s to follow now.
The knee surgery on Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been a success, according to his agent Mino Raiola. The legendary forward had suffered an unfortunate anterior cruciate ligament injury in United’s win Europa League against Anderlecht.
It is expected that the big Swede will be kept out for a period of 9 months with the injury that was feared to have ended the special career of a special player.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone successful knee surgery. He will make a full recovery and has not suffered a career ending injury” Raiola said in an official statement.
“The procedure was performed by Freddie Fu, M.D., and Volker Musahl, M.D., of the UPMC Sports Medicine programme in Pittsburgh. Zlatan has started rehabilitation at UPMC and will remain under the care of Dr.Fu and Dr.Musahl throughout his recovery.”

It’s worth noting, however, that according to Manchester Evening News, Zlatan has been offered a new contract by Jose Mourinho despite the injury, which the decorated striker has rejected out of pride. The 35-year-old had been in excellent form before getting injured, as he managed to score a handsome 28 goals in the 46 appearances for Manchester United.
Football followers all over the internet have suggested that even if Ibrahimovic recovers from the injury, he might never be the player he has been in the past, because of the spiking age of the Swedish international.
Zlatan being Zlatan, has different thoughts on that, and claims that he will only grow better with age like a fine wine.
