Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants Borussia Dortmund star Marco Rues at Old Trafford next season.

Mourinho currently has some serious problems up his sleeve, which is why he is set for a squad overhaul this summer. The manager is sure to let a number of underperforming players leave the club at the end of the season, and this has pushed him into the transfer market for more than one attackers.

The Portuguese is eyeing some of the best talents in world football, and the latest name linked with a move to Manchester United is German star, Marco Reus.

One of the most respected footballers in the world, Reus is also one of the most exciting players in Europe at the moment.

He is traditionally injury prone, and has missed close to 40 games through one injury or the other since the start of the previous season. In spite of these injury troubles, however, he stands as one of the most effective players in front of goal this season in the Bundesliga, with 11 goals and 8 assists to his name in all competitions.

At 27, he is just entering the prime of his career as a footballer, and Mourinho is convinced that he is the right man for the club next season. The Red Devils are set to lose their long-serving skipper Wayne Rooney this summer, and Mourinho wants Reus to be his long-term replacement at Old Trafford.

And according to Spanish news outfit Don Balon, the German international himself, has requested for a move for the Bundesliga star at the end of the season.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past, but none of those rumours ever materialised.

Do you think United can finally bring Reus to England?
