Manchester United and Chelsea are among the worst value for money teams in the Premier League, while Liverpool lead the list.

The Premier League is one of the most entertaining domestic football leagues in the world, but not every team provides full value for their money.

The likes of Sunderland and Middlesbrough have been disappointing in this campaign, and have already been relegated from the top flight, but the fact that the tickets at the Stadium of Light or at the Riverside are not as expensive as other stadiums, makes them some of the better clubs in terms of money spent by the supporters.

According to research carried out by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, Manchester United are the most boring club in the Premier League. With Jose Mourinho’s side struggling to score goals, there have been just 36 goals in games at Old Trafford, and this means that the fans have had to pay £15.37 per goal.

A matchday ticket at Old Trafford comes at a price of £36, and along with the extortionate price of £7 a pint, United have been one of the most expensive sides to watch this season. But they are not the only club around the top of the table that are at the bottom of this list.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are third on this list, as they have offered a goal per £11.58 spent by fans. However, they do have the Premier League title to show for it.

Paul Clement’s Southampton are second in the table, having scored just 37 goals, out of which only 17 have come at the St Marys.

The list is headed by Liverpool, who have scored truckloads of goal this campaign. The cost per goal at Anfield comes in at a tiny price of £3.63 – almost £10 less than what United at the other end of the spectrum have to offer.
