What’s the story?

Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe has agreed to say goodbye to his relegated side and join Premier League team Bournemouth in the summer, if Sky sources are believed to be true.

Should the deal take place?

It is fair to say that Defoe might be at an age where making a return to the Premier League might be considered a bit too ambitious, but after scoring 32 goals for Sunderland in 82 matches in England’s top flight, and reaching the 150-goal mark last season, one would be foolish to count him out of the ranks just yet. The striker recently made a National team comeback and scored a goal, which might see him chase 2018 World Cup dreams, and Bournemouth can be a perfect platform to do just that.

Possibility of it happening

As the former Tottenham and Portsmouth striker has played for the Cherries on loan previously in his career and scored 12 goals for them in 10 consecutive matches during an incredible run of form, one can see this reunion shaping up nicely. 9/10 for this one.

2. Iker Casillas To Liverpool

What’s the story?

According to claims made by AS, legendary Real Madrid and Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas could be making a sensational move to the Premier League, as he ponders over choosing Liverpool amongst the countless club offers he has received after rumours of him leaving Porto spread like wildfire.

Should the deal take place?

As Jurgen Klopp’s men guarantee Champions League football next season, their goalkeeper woes are one they need to get immediately rid of, and with the Premier League being the most popular and Liverpool being one of the biggest clubs in it, the Kop seems perfect to welcome a veteran of Iker’s quality, which will surely not let him walk alone.

Possibility of it happening

The keeper still has his best left in him, as he kept 23 clean sheets in the Portuguese League this term, and hence, will most likely succeed in England too. The move might make great news for Liverpool fans, and the chances of it happening are 6/10.

3. Diego Costa To Tianjin Quanjian

What’s the story?

Diego Costa has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League since the turn of the year, and with the transfer window coming soon and rumours gaining momentum, recent reports have claimed that the assumed club, Tianjin Quanjian, has made no contact with the striker over a possible deal.

Should the deal take place?

In a recently released statement, Tianjin surprised one and all by writing: “Regarding the rumours and reports that Tianjin Quanjian’s summer transfer plan is to buy Diego Costa, we hereby clarify the following: During the past six months the club has not communicated with Diego Costa or his agent regarding his transfer to Tianjin Quanjian.”

The Spanish forward is Chelsea’s ace striker and been highly influential in them winning the league, and from going from the best team in England to a League that is still an infant might not be the best choice to make.

Possibility of it happening

With former club Atletico Madrid also on the radar and the Chinese club denying all possibilities, chances of any transfer happening is at its highest, 2/10.

4. Alexis Sanchez To Manchester City

What’s the story?

Chilean journalist Maks Cardenas has recently reported rumours stating that Alexis Sanchez will leave the Emirates in the summer and as a result, might be influenced by rivals Manchester City to join them, for a fee falling in the range of £50 million.

Should the deal take place?

Sanchez had a stellar season after scoring 24 goals in the League, and giving his every bit of effort for the team, but with Arsenal falling out of the top 4 spots and Arsene Wenger unsure about his managerial position for now, one might see the reasons why making the switch away from North London would be a wise thing to do. Pep Guardiola will surely be looking to challenge for the title next term, and if Sanchez is added to his ranks, the Blues of Manchester might turn into European contenders too.

Possibility of it happening

As was the case of Nasri, Clichy and Sagna, Arsenal might see yet another star leave for Manchester City, and this time, the possibility of it happening seems to be 8/10.
