Big Sam Makes Big Decision, Calls It An End To His Management Career

Football is a sport filled with unexpected twists and events on and off the pitch, with the latest one being provided by Sam Allardyce earlier today.

Not only did he stun Crystal Palace and their fans by resigning from the post of club manager, but also left one and all surprised by claiming he has no intentions of continuing his managerial career from this point onwards, as his contract does not allow him a job for another 2 years unless he rewards Crystal Palace with a fair amount of money.

Allardyce, who came up with this decision out of the blue, produced an official statement clarifying himself and mentioning that it was not a consequence of miscommunications or lack of finance or any troublesome issue from the club’s end.

The boss announced his will to leave the club in his meeting with Chairman Steve Parish on Tuesday, and his contract allows him to do so as long as he puts pen to paper before the 30th of June and makes it legally official.

Sam has had an eventful career as a manager, and he has never been relegated during his reigns, while pulling off great escapes with Sunderland and Crystal Palace, and also guiding West Ham into the Premier League.

The high point of the now former-Palace boss will mostly be the day he was chosen as England manager, which also led to his lowest point in the sport, which was being sacked from the job after leading the Three Lions for nothing more than one single match.

The Palace job helped Big Sam get back into the good side of management, and he was recently reported saying: “It’s enabled me to totally get over the England scenario. I feel recovered and I’m looking to the future.”

No Sam, No Party! If he is to go, the Premier League will surely miss his presence.
