What’s the story?

With bids from China ranging up to a mouth watering £50 million lined up for Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney, who prepares to leave Old Trafford in the summer, the Daily Mail suggests that the English striker seems set for a return to his old club Everton instead.

Should the deal take place?

As the number 10 is England and Manchester United’s leading goal scorer of all time, a legend like him deserves a worthy goodbye in the sport, and heading to China might not ensure that. However, making a move to his boyhood club and ending his footballing days by playing as much as possible in the league he loves is the ideal step that Wazza should consider taking.

Possibility of it happening

One of the most decorated footballers in the modern Premier League, Everton have a stronger chance of bringing their long lost son back home as compared to China, and hence, the chances of this move happening are a solid 9/10.

2. Jorge Sampaoli To Become Argentina National Team Manager

What’s the story?

The current Sevilla coach is all set to become the boss of Argentina’s National Team, as an agreement was reached by the Argentinian FA, confirmed a Sevilla statement.

Should the deal take place?

Sampaoli is an experienced campaigner as both club and national team manager, as he proved so with a stellar season leading Sevilla in the La Liga, and also guiding the Chilean National Team to Copa America glory a few years back.

An Argentine by birth, he could be the answer to the side’s current woes as they struggle to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. He might not have enough time to work his magic, but few better come to mind at the moment while giving this chance out to someone.

3. Thorgan Hazard To Arsenal

What’s the story?

The Daily Star recently sparked rumours of Thorgan Hazard’s transfer to England, with Arsenal being the interested club for the midfielder.

Should the deal take place?

Eden Hazard’s younger brother has had an impressive season with Borussia Monchengladbach, after bagging 11 goals and 7 assists in 33 total matches played. It is a stat Arsenal could certainly use as they look to lift their spirits after being pushed into the Europa League for next season, whilst being desperately unsure of hanging on to their star players and manager during the summer window.

Possibility of it happening.

The player is currently priced at £15.6 million, and with Everton and Chelsea involved, and no Champions League at the Emirates to offer, the deal might be a tough one to crack for Gunners, giving them a slim chance of 5/10.

4. William Carvalho To Newcastle United

What’s the story?

The Portuguese midfielder has been on the radar of a lot of clubs in England in the past couple of seasons, and according to news coming in from Daily Star, Newcastle United seem to be the most eager and willing party to sign the player in the summer window.

Should the deal take place?

The player has 31 caps for his National side, and he has also played over a 100 matches for Sporting, and with his patience and ability on the ball and strength off it, he might be exactly what Rafa Benitez and his newly promoted side require to fight to stay in the Premier League next season.

Possibility of it happening

Despite other clubs being involved and the price being as high as £39 million, the player ticks all boxes required to be a hit at St. James Park and helping them stay on top for a long time to come. Newcastle are in the mood to bolster their squad, and hence, Carvalho coming is a strong possibility of 7/10.

5. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang To Leave Dortmund

What’s the story?

The Sun came out with a shocking bit of news earlier in the day, when they reported that Bundesliga golden boot winner and Dortmund’s golden striker is on the way out of Thomas Tuchel’s team, after handing in a transfer request to the club.

Should the deal take place?

The forward is currently one of the most lethal and promising aspects in the business, and his play deserves titles, which are hard to come by in Germany with Bayern Munich ruling all arenas, and hence, a move to interested clubs like Manchester City or Real Madrid makes sense, and might be ideal for a player waiting to bang in goals which eventually result in silverware.

Possibility of it happening

With clubs eager to bring his abilities into their line ups, he has now turned into one of the hottest prospects in Europe, and the chances of him leaving Dortmund are at a solid 10/10.
