Manchester United Teenager Opens Up About A Possible Loan Move Next Season

Manchester United’s Welsh youngster Regan Poole has expressed his desire to join another club on loan after failing to break into Manchester United’s first team.
Cardiff-born Poole made his first team debut for Newport as the 16-year-old before signing for United in 2015 for an initial fee of £100,000.
The 18-year-old was handed the first team debut by Louis Van Gaal against the Danish side Midtjylland in the Europa League in February 2016, and since then, he hasn’t appeared for the Red Devils
After 15 months without competitive football action, the young centre-back has opened up about a potential loan move over the next few months.
“It’s possible I could go out on loan, but I haven’t spoken to the club about what happens next season,” he said on Tuesday night, before Wales’ Toulon tournament opener against hosts France.

“It’s a tough one because I’m developing under the best coaches in the world at United, and it’s all about what the club thinks is best for me. But I would like to get out on loan. I miss playing in the league, there was nothing better.”
United currently have Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Daley Blind, and Marcos Rojo for the position, and despite having enough defensive strength, the Red Devils are being heavily linked with Burnley Star Michael Keane.
Therefore, Poole’s wait is likely to continue next season, and the defender acknowledges the fact that he needs to be patient to break into the first team.
“I’ve had a little taste of the first team and that’s what I want again. But I’m only 18 and sometimes you just have to step back and think: ‘I’ve still got a few years there and I’ve still got time’. So I just have to be a little bit patient and wait,” Poole added.
“You see these centre-backs coming in for millions of pounds and sometimes it does get you down, but I’ve still got a long time there and hopefully I get longer after my contract ends.”
