Franck Kessie Clears AC Milan Medical

Franck Kessie is understood to have cleared his medical for his move to AC Milan, following a delay.
The midfielder was scheduled to have his medical yesterday, but since some issues were raised at the Madonnina clinic, further tests were recommended. According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com (via Football Italia), the issue raised during the medical was pertaining to the player’s knee cartilage, and further tests have cleared the air.
With a majority of the medical now done, the player will move to the AC Milan’s own lab tomorrow, where a final set of medical checks would almost confirm his move to the Red and Black side of San Siro.
The 20-year-old would be the second signing for the Serie A club this transfer season, with the first buy being Mateo Musacchio from Villarreal.
The prodigy has scored 6 goals and 3 assists in 30 games for Atlanta, which helped them reach a surprising 4th position in Serie A last season. This would also mean that Atlanta would be playing in the Europa League.
AC Milan, who finished below Atlanta at 6th in the Serie A, will also be playing from the 3rd round of the Europa League. Yet, they managed to beat both Manchester United and Chelsea for the youngster.
Kessie seems to have gone back on his word, when he was previously quoted saying: “I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United, the club I dream of playing for. Chelsea? That is also a big club, nobody would turn them down, but I dream of United.”
With the Milan club given a wallet of £100 million, one can expect a lot more signings in an attempt to regain their lost glory in Serie A. After the Chinese owners took over the club from the tycoon Berlusconi, they have already signed one talent, and are linked with Real’s Alvaro Morata and Torino’s Andrea Belotti.
