Real Madrid are reportedly set to break the world transfer record for Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard, by making a colossal £100 million bid for his services.

Since his switch to the Blues, Hazard has scored 72 goals in 249 appearances in all competitions. The Belgian international netted 16 goals and bagged 5 assists in Chelsea’s title-winning season, and is said to have emerged as a prime target for Real Madrid.

The Sun claims that Los Blancos, who are also fixed on signing David De Gea, are trying to lure the the playmaker away from Stamford Bridge.

In fact, Madrid insiders have revealed that there have already been three or more separate meetings this year between club representatives and Hazard’s entourage.

It has also been claimed that after detailed conversations between Hazard’s representatives and the club about the winger’s future, the 26-year-old is said to be given a permanent role as Madrid’s advanced playmaker, in between Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale.

However, Hazard had earlier stated publicly that he was happy at the Bridge, but the Spanish giants believe that the switch might happen because of his footballing idol and club manager, Zinedine Zidane.
