United Want Werder Bremen Striker After Missing Out On Antoine Griezmann

Werder Bremen star Max Kruse is now attracting interest from Manchester United, as they feel they might not be able to sign Antoine Griezmann.
The Red Devils are in dire need of a striker who can be the first choice and lead the attacking line for the club next season. They have been looking at the some of the best players in Europe for a move this summer, with Mourinho ready to break the bank yet again.
United have been linked with the likes of Andrea Belotti and Alvaro Morata constantly in recent times, but one new player who is now on the radar of the club is German international Max Kruse, according to Goal.com.
The 29-year-old has been in superb goalscoring form this season, netting 15 goals in 23 appearances, including a stint of 11 goals in 11 games at the end of the season.
He has made 14 national appearances as well, but is not a part of the Confederations Cup later this summer.
The striker’s expertise in front of goal has now attracted interest from Old Trafford, as Mourinho looks to solve his side’s goal scoring problems.
With Wayne Rooney set to leave and Zlatan Ibrahimovic not expected to be at the club next season, the Portuguese manager was looking at Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann for a move this summer. However, the Spanish outfit has been hit with a transfer ban and their appeals have also failed.
This has reduced United’s chances of luring the Frenchman to England, and it is understood that Mourinho wants Kruse to be a temporary fix at Old Trafford.
