Manchester United seem to be drawing up a list of potential goalkeeping options in case Real Madrid swoop for David De Gea this summer.

The Red Devils, who seemed confident of keeping the Spanish goalkeeper in their side, are now considering some of the replacement choices nonetheless. In fact, reports suggest that manager Jose Mourinho would give the go-ahead for a sale only at a premium price.

It is no secret that even De Gea wishes to to play for Los Blancos, but it is also said that the Spaniard won’t push for a move against the wishes of his current employers. As per reports, Real are expected to offer either cash, or a deal involving players such as Alvaro Morata along with the bucks if they want to pursue De Gea.

The Daily Mail reported that United have shortlisted the likes of Joe Hart, Gianluigi Donnarumma of AC Milan, and Inter’s Samir Handanovic as the Spain international’s replacement options.

It was also claimed that Jose Mourinho is said to be refusing any confirmation on fresh interest in Benfica centre-back Victor Lindelof. A potential £35 million fee was supposedly decided for the defender after holding talks with Benfica back in January.

“I will not say if I want him or not, I think it’s incorrect,” said Mourinho to the Portuguese press.

“Rui is not going to be happy with another club manager talking about a player who is his, the president would not be happy to see that. Lindelof is theirs and as long as he’s theirs, he’s theirs.”
