Bayern Munich have promised to make Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez their highest paid player if he signs for them.

According to the Mirror, the Bavarians have offered blockbuster wages of £350,000-a-week to the Chilean, who is yet to sign a new contract with Arsenal.

If a move materializes, Sanchez will become the highest paid player at Bayern, ahead of striker Robert Lewandowski, who earns £300,000 a week. The 28-year-old will enter the final year of his contract with Arsenal this summer.

Having missed out on Champions League football, Arsenal might have a hard time keeping hold of Alexis, who is wanted by the biggest clubs in Europe. The club is trying to tie up the inside forward with a new contract, however, the player is yet to decide on his future.

In fact, Arsenal have reportedly made quite a few offers to increase Sanchez’s modest £130,000-per-week salary, but no offer has been accepted so far.

The Gunners have reiterated time and again that Sanchez will not be sold in the summer, though if an agreement is not reached with the player soon enough, they won’t be left with too many options left but to sell him.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are trying their best to make the most out of the uncertainty around Sanchez by tempting Arsenal with a £40m bid.
