Top Transfer Rumours Of The Day: Forsberg, Gnabry, Bale, And More
1. Emil Forsberg To AC Milan
What’s the story?
AC Milan could well be the next destination for RB Leipzig midfielder, Emil Forsberg, as the player looks keen on a switch to the Italian Giants, and claims it to be a fantastic and big club.
Should the deal take place?
Leipzig stunned one and all in German football as they gave Bayern Munich a run for their money in the title challenge, and eventually finished second in the Bundesliga. The team now has Champions League football to play next season, and will hence be looking to keep hold of their current players and reel in new ones to bolster the squad.
The player was mightily impressive for the German club last season, as he contributed with an impressive 8 goals and 19 assists throughout the campaign.
When asked about his future and AC Milan, he told Aftonbladet: “It is an interesting project, making investments and wanting to take back the throne again. The Champions League is not a major factor for me. In the end it’s only about football. I want to have an important role in the team, but I’ll see – my agent takes care of all that.”
Possibility of it happening
The Serie A club might not offer Europe’s elite competition, but that is clearly not an issue for the 25-year-old, and given his adoration for them, a strong chance of 8/10 exists in favour of the deal.
2. Serge Gnabry To Bayern Munich
What’s the story?
The Bundesliga champions from the last five seasons recently confirmed the signing of playmaker and attacker, Serge Gnabry.
Should the deal have taken place?
The Werder Bremen player of German nationality has been on the radar of the big teams for a couple of seasons now, and after his performances for both teams in the year gone by, a move to the giants of Munich comes as a well deserved reward. The lad was Germany’s highest scorer in the Olympics, as his side finished second in Rio in 2016. He also bagged 11 goals for Bremen during the whole of last season.
On being approached after the move was announced, Gnabry said: “It’s a great honour to become part of FC Bayern. It’s going to be an exciting time and one that I’m very much looking forward to.”
3. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain To Liverpool
What’s the story?
According to Express, Arsenal winger and paceman Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain is a potential summer target for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, as a bid worth £40 million is being prepared for the Englishman’s services.
Should the deal take place?
As the speedy attacker approaches the final year in his current contract with Arsenal, the player has become well versed with playing in many positions across the pitch which include wing-back, central midfield, and either flank. Such versatility has been the main reason of attraction from the Kop’s boss, as he looks to find an addition to similar minded players like Philippe Coutinho, James Milner and Roberto Firmino.
After having to apologise to Southampton over Van Djik’s issue and the Mohamed Salah deal falling out of place, the Reds will have to be extra careful with this one. With irregular game time being offered at the Emirates, a switch to a faster and like-minded team might make sense for the Ox.
Possibility of it happening
Despite Arsene Wenger trying to keep hold of his asset, Liverpool come with an advantage of offering Champions League football, and hence, a deal might take place with the chances being 6/10.
4. Gareth Bale To Manchester United
What’s the story?
With Victor Lindelof announced as the first signing of the summer and Alvaro Morata on the verge of following him, Welsh magician Gareth Bale could well be the third mega name Jose Mourinho brings to Old Trafford during the transfer window.
The rumours were sparked earlier in the day with Morata liking an Instagram post that suggested Bale and James Rodriguez will be joining the striker on the way to England.
Should the deal take place?
The Santiago Bernabeu number 11 had taken the Premier League by storm and proved his worth with Tottenham Hotspur before leaving for Real Madrid. Now, after being out with an injury filled season, it might be time to make a return to England’s top flight.
As Bale now fights for his position with Spanish midfielder Isco, and Kylian Mbappe assumed to be coming in, the star fears his place in the first team and his role in Zidane’s future plans.
Possibility of it happening
Jose Mourinho is going all out to bring in the best talent in the world to his squad, and thus, Bale remains on this esteemed list of wanted player, and has a high chance of 8/10.
