AC Milan Transfer News: Serie A Giants Interested In £13.3m-Rated Defender
AC Milan have reportedly enquired about Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian, to which the English club has responded by quoting a price of £13.3 million.
Italian star’s future seems uncertain at the moment, especially after Victor Lindelof is set to move to United from Benfica. Darmian, who played a bit-part role under Jose Mourinho last season, could be axed by the Portuguese as he continues to revamp the squad ahead of the club’s return to Champions League next season.
This news was broken out by Tancredi Palmeri yesterday, as he tweeted that AC Milan had contacted the reigning Europa League Champions about a deal for the 27-year-old. The Red Devils responded to the Serie A giants’ enquiry by giving them a figure of £13.3 million.

The Italy international was brought in by Louis van Gaal from Torino in 2015 at a fee of £12.7 million, and thus, United may make a slight profit on him, despite his failure to sparkle at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old defender featured in 68 games for the Mancunian club in his two seasons in England.
After Italy’s friendly against Uruguay last week, the full-back was interviewed about his future, but he did not reveal much, as he stated: “I have a contract with Manchester United, so let’s see what happens.”
