Real Madrid Slap A Massive €90m Price Tag On Morata

Real Madrid have slapped a massive €90 million price tag on Alvaro Morata.

The striker has been repeatedly linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, and it is understood that the Old Trafford outfit have approached Los Blancos with a €70 million bid for the Spanish striker.

However, it now appears that the La Liga champions are set to turn down the offer, and are holding out for a fee in the region of €90 million, and will not accept anything less.

Former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to sign a striker this summer, and has been looking for replacements for Zlatan Ibrahimovic following the Swede’s release from the club earlier this week.

According to Marca, Real chief Florentino Perez is aware that Morata is Mourinho’s prime target, and that United have more than enough money to spend. Hence, the Spanish club will not be accepting offers less than €90 million for the 25-year-old.

Morata has always been determined to make it at the 12-time Champions League winners, but has struggled for game time since his return to the club after a more than successful spell with Serie A giants Juventus.

As a result, he has accepted the fact that he needs more game time, and understands that he will have to make a switch away from the Santiago Bernabeu if he expects to be a first-team regular.

However, United will now have to pay over the odds for the Spaniard if they are to be successful in their attempts to sign him. Relations between the Red Devils and the Madrid-based outfit are understandably poor at the moment after the whole David De Gea saga, and it will come as no surprise that Real are playing hardball.

United have also been linked with Morata’s teammate, James Rodriguez, who also looks set to leave the club this summer.
