AC Milan Looking To Obtain Andrea Belotti’s Signature
Italian giants AC Milan are reportedly in talks with Torino’s sporting director in order to discuss a possible move for Andrea Belotti.
The Rossoneri have been linked heavily with the Italian striker after his breathtaking campaign for the club last season.
Belotti has scored 38 goals in 70 games for Torino since his arrival from Palermo in 2015, with 23 of those goals coming in last season’s Serie A. The 23-year-old was the third top scorer in the division, behind Edin Dzeko and Dries Mertens.
As per reports from Football Italia, Milan officials have already met to discuss the potential transfer for Belotti, despite the big asking price from Torino.
It was claimed that the striker’s €100 million release clause, which has been set as non-negotiable by President Urbano Cairo, only applies to foreign clubs, and not the clubs within the Serie A.
Torino are said to be interested in M’Baye Niang and Gianluca Lapadula, while Milan News reports that Cristian Zapata may be included in the deal to reduce the massive release clause.
Premier League giants Manchester United, who are in the market looking for a striker, were also reportedly interested in the Italy international. However, the Red Devils have increased their interest in Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata, thus cooling their pursuit of the Torino hitman.
Being an AC Milan supporter since childhood himself, Belotti is unlikely to refuse any offer from the Rossoneri, as a move to the San Siro this summer would be a dream come true for him.
