Chelsea are not keen on Alvaro Morata anymore, as the Premier League winners have agreed a deal with Romelu Lukaku, reports Starsport.

The Blues are not looking to bring Morata to Stamford Bridge, as Everton’s Lukaku moves closer to a switch to his former club. The prolific Belgian has agreed personal terms with the London based club, but a transfer fee is yet to be agreed with Everton.

The Toffees have asked Chelsea to meet their valuation of £100m, but Roman Abramovich doesn’t feel that big a fee is warranted for a player they sold for £28m in 2014.

The disparity in the two club’s valuation of the player is set to drag the transfer saga all over the summer. However, the striker has already agreed to personal terms with £150,000-a-week salary to return to his former club.

Lukaku is being seen as the perfect player to replace unwanted Diego Costa, who has been told by Conte that he is not needed next season.

For the past few days, Alvaro Morata’s possible move to Chelsea was highlighted all over media, but it now appears that there wasn’t much truth to the news, as the Blues had their focus solely on Lukaku. The English Champions are impressed with the proven goal scoring record of the Belgian in the league over the years.

Former Chelsea player Joe Cole’s thoughts also focused on Morata’s non-existent experience in Premier League, and Lukaku’s abundance of it.

The former Chelsea midfielder was quoted as saying: “I’d take Lukaku, he is like for like with Costa, but they only need one or two players and just keep the continuity going. Morata has never played in England so there is a little question mark there.”
