Mourinho Calls For Haste On The Ivan Perisic Deal
Jose Mourinho wants Manchester United to wrap up the Ivan Perisic deal as soon as possible, according to reports.
The Portuguese tactician remains on his holiday, whilst Red Devils’ executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward continues to negotiate several deals to bring in valuable and much-needed reinforcements to the Old Trafford club this summer.
The Europa League winners have already confirmed the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica, but negotiations for the transfers of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid and Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan seem to be ongoing, with no recent developments.
As per latest reports from Gazzetta dello Sport (via Metro), however, Manchester United are set to speed up the discussions to wrap up the deal for the Inter Milan winger, thanks to Mourinho’s newest orders.

The former Chelsea boss wants to secure the signing of the 28-year-old as soon as possible, so as to have the wide man available before the Reds take off for their summer tour to the United States, and face LA Galaxy in their opening fixture on July 15.
The Premier League giants have already seen their €40m bid for the Croatia international get rejected by Inter, as the Italian club values the player around €50m.
However, United have decided to play the waiting game, in the hope that the Serie A outfit accepts the initial offer, so as to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations. Inter need to raise €30m by the end of June, and failure to do so would lead to a €7m fine from UEFA, along with further sanctions.
Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic remains on his vacation in his homeland, where he will be taking part in a beach volleyball tournament in Porec, Croatia, along with his partner Niksa Dell’Orco.
“I want to go as far as possible,” he recently told Gazzetta dello Sport. “The prize will be given to the Croatian beach volleyball association to promote the development of the sport.”
