Munich And Manchester Still In War For Romelu Lukaku

Bayern Munich and Manchester United haven’t dropped their interest in Everton striker Romelu Lukaku yet.
According to reports from The Mirror, Lukaku’s almost certain move to Chelsea is far from done, with no deal being close to confirmation yet. Meanwhile, both Manchester United and Bayern Munich have not given up their pursuit for the Belgian, as both clubs have a fresh chance to continue fighting for the striker’s services.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman has often expressed his wish to see Lukaku playing with the Merseyside club for the next few seasons. With 2 years left on his contract, he can choose to play catch without taking a major risk.
The contract duration remaining could also help Everton make the most out of a prospective deal. With bigshots like Chelsea, United, and Bayern willing to spend hard cash on the player, we could see bids going as high as £90 million and above for him.

Despite being the champions of the Premier League, Chelsea would find it hard to bring their own ex-player back to their club, due to the high costs and risk involved (Hint-Fernando Torres). Bayern Munich are also understood to have been in contact with Alexis Sanchez, ever since rumours of Robert Lewandowski’s move away from the Bundesliga Champions have risen.
Lukaku scored 25 goals in 37 appearances in the Premier League last season, showing his quality in a physical and aggressive league like the top flight of English football. He has also been playing for the Belgium National team since 2010, and has over 57 caps to his name, scoring 20 goals in them.
