Wayne Rooney Struggling To Secure Old Trafford Exit
Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney is finding a difficulty in finding new pastures away from the club.
The veteran forward, who played a bit part role for United last season under Jose Mourinho, faces another term of uncertainty to be stuck on the bench at Old Trafford.
The Mirror claims that the English giants Manchester United are unwilling to fund a cut-price exit for their skipper.
Rooney is finding it difficult to find another club and has not received an offer so far. With his current salary of £300,000-a-week, clubs are finding it difficult to match an offer close to it.
Rooney was overshadowed by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford last season, and despite Zlatan being released by the club, United are looking for Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata to replace him.

Rooney’s current deal runs till 2019, and with Jose not keen to play him in midfield, other options for the England legend looks bleak. Reports also state that the club is not prepared to rip up his contract and let him leave for nothing.
Fellow Premier League outfit Everton and clubs from China were said to be interested in Rooney, but they have apparently cooled their pursuit, leaving United in a difficult scenario.
Although manager Jose Mourinho wants Rooney to stay at the club and fight for his place, the player wants more game time, and is currently assessing his options, whatever little they may be.
