Bernardeschi Linked With A Premier League Move
Manchester United have been linked with a move for Federico Bernardeschi, and could be set to sign him if Inter Milan remain stubborn on Ivan Perisic.
Perisic has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford for quite some time now, and Jose Mourinho himself has shown a real desire to sign the Croatian winger. However, Inter are refusing to budge on their €55 million valuation – a stance that has really agitated Mourinho and the United hierarchy.
As a result, the club has now started looking for alternative options, and according to Mediaset Premium (via Football Italia), the Red Devils have noted Fiorentina’s young talent Bernardeschi as a possible target.
The Italian winger is at loggerheads with his club at the moment, and is refusing to sign a new contract. His current deal with the Serie A club runs out in June 2018, and they risk the possibility of losing him for free next summer.
This hasn’t stopped Fiorentina from holding out for a sum of €50 million for the 23-year-old though, and the fee might be a hindrance to the move.
Bernardeschi, who is five years younger to Perisic, managed to impressively grab 14 goals and 5 assists in 42 appearances for Fiorentina last season, and he would very well make a good buy with the future of the club in mind.
A Perfect Plan B for United if things don’t work out with Perisic!
