Fabinho Decides The Position He Intends To Make His Own At Man Utd
Manchester United target Fabinho has his mind made up to play as a right-back for Jose Mourinho’s team.
According to numerous reports over internet, both Matic and Fabinho are set to move to the Manchester-based club.
United fans were worried when Matic’s transfer reports emerged, as they thought that it would be the end of Mourinho’s pursuit of Fabinho. However, the Monaco man’s preference of his playing position has opened a whole lot of avenues for the Red Devils.
The versatile Brazilian is capable of playing at various positions – holding midfielder, box-to-box, roaming playmaker, and right back – but as per Goal.com, he would personally like to play at full-back position for the English giants.
Although Mourinho is a big fan of Antonio Valencia at the right-back position, the Portuguese coach sees Fabinho as the Ecuadorian’s long-term replacement. However, the 23-year-old has not entirely ruled out the possibility of featuring in the centre of the park, and would be open to help the team there if needed.
With his imposing physical attributes and impressive technical ability, Fabinho is one of the most complete footballers in the world right now. His versatility makes him a crucial player for any team, even more so for a Jose Mourinho’s side, which, characteristically, asks players to contribute in every aspect of the game.
Earlier, Fabinho had revealed his excitement over the thought of playing for Manchester United in the Premier League. The youngster was one of the most crucial cogs in the brilliant Monaco side last year, and will be a huge loss for the Ligue 1 Champions if he makes the summer switch.
