Real Madrid Set To Sign Former Barcelona Striker
European Champions Real Madrid are reportedly closing in on the signing of former Barcelona player and current Malaga striker, Sandro Ramirez.
Ramirez seems to be coming in for Alvaro Morata, who is reportedly on the verge of joining Premier League giants Manchester United, and could fit in Zinedine Zidane’s line-up in order to replace Karim Benzema when needed.
According to Onda Cero (via Managing Madrid), the striker, who is a product of Barcelona’s academy, has reached an agreement with Los Blancos, with a move rumoured to be around the region of €6 million.
The 21-year-old spent 2 seasons of his senior career at Camp Nou before switching to Malaga. Therefore, being a former Barcelona man and having made 32 senior appearances for the Blaugrana, Sandro’s move to the Bernabeu may receive some harsh criticism from Barca fans if the striker decides to wear the famous white jersey.
Ramirez was heavily linked with a move to Premier League side Everton, which is why the switch to Madrid has come as a surprise, especially with Real trying to sign Monaco wonderkid, Kylian Mbappe.
Nonetheless, with Morata likely on his way out, Madrid may just have found a perfect replacement for the Spaniard at a very cheap price. The young forward has got all the potential to become a world-class striker in the future, and a move to Madrid might just become the accelerating point of Ramirez’s career.
