Aubameyang To Ditch Liverpool And Chelsea For The Chinese Super League
Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to become the latest high profile name to join money spinning Chinese Super League, reports SportBild.
Tianjin Quanjian are plotting a bid in excess of £70m to bring the prolific striker to China. The Gabonese international, who is sought by clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool from the Premier League, is set to snub European clubs to secure his move to the Chinese Super League club.
Earlier, Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke had made it clear that any bid less than £63m in valuation will not be entertained by the club, and as a result, the English clubs have been put off by the massive asking price.
Meanwhile, Tianjin Quanjian have emerged as an interested party capable of sufficing the demands of the club as well as the player.
Chinese clubs have been known to offer gigantic salaries to former European players like Oscar, Jackson Martinez, Pelle, Lavezzi and Carlos Tevez. Similarly, if a transfer goes through, Aubameyang is expected to earn a ridiculous £26.5m per year – which will make him one of the best paid footballers on the planet.
At Tianjin Quanjian, Aubameyang will be joining well known footballing names like Alexandro Pato and Axel Witsel.
The Dortmund forward was in lethal form last season, as he topped the goalscoring charts in Bundesliga with 31 goals in 32 matches. Being among the top scorers in leagues across the world, Aubameyang has been in huge demand all across the transfer window.
