Despite having signed Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku, Manchester United are far from done in the transfer window, according to Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United are set for a long summer transfer window, as the Portuguese coach looks for a few more additions to his team. Mourinho was talking to the press in Los Angeles, where he revealed that the Red Devils failed to agree a deal for Morata before they shifted their focus onto getting Lukaku.

The former Chelsea manager also received question about the possibility of signing Nemanja Matic, but the coach refused to comment anything about the Chelsea player.

According to reports, Mourinho is very keen to bring the Serbian midfielder to Old Trafford, but faces an uphill battle due to the recent bad blood with his former club. Manchester United’s capture of Lukaku, Chelsea’s no.1 target, has made the rivalry between the clubs even more hostile.

While talking to the reporters, Mourinho revealed: “We have had interest (in Morata). It is obvious, it is public and we have not reached an economic agreement. It is a right of Madrid to ask for their players the amount they want.

“We will not be the ones who put a price on a Real Madrid player. I cannot criticize Real Madrid and I can not criticize my club. (We made) offers we thought were fair and yet no agreement was reached.”

When further quizzed about Matic, Mourinho turned defensive, and stated: “I can’t say any word about a player who is a Chelsea player, I can’t, it’s difficult. It was a little bit of the same with Morata, we have to respect the player, the club, the owner, the manager, I don’t want to be disrespectful, and be speaking about the player.”

Mourinho also confirmed that he is looking for two more players to sign during this window, as he targeted a total of fours signings before the start of the season. Manchester United are currently preparing for the upcoming campaign at the UCLA base in Los Angeles.
