Deal Agreed: Radja Nainggolan Extends Roma Contract
Roma’s star midfielder, Radja Nainggolan, is reportedly set to extend his current contract with the club, in order to snub any interest from rivals Inter Milan and Premier League heavyweights, Manchester United.
United manager Jose Mourinho, who wants to add considerable fire-power to his squad by making at least two more purchases before the transfer window closes, has been demanding a new central midfielder, with Naninggolan coming up at the top of his list.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past month, but according to Angelo Mangiante of Sky Sports, the Belgium international is set to extend his current deal at Stadio Olimpico.
Mangiante revealed the news via his twitter account, stating that the Belgian midfielder will sign terms to extend his contract till 2021 with Roma in the next few days. It was claimed that Nainggolan would get a raise on his current deal and would now earn €4 million per season.

Mangiante tweeted: “#Nainggolan will extends in the next days his contract with #ASRoma until 2021 increasing engagement (€4M season).”
The 29-year-old had a blistering last season, as he bagged 7 major assists and scored a tally of 15 goals in all competitions, surpassing his previous career best of 6 goals.
Though the Red Devils have been active in the summer market, having captured Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Romelu Lukaku from Everton, Mourinho is still in the hunt to sign a world class midfielder.
With Tiemoue Bakayoko having already joined Chelsea and Spurs set to hold onto Eric Dier, United need to act fast if they wish to kick-off the Premier League four weeks from now with a top notch midfield.
