Cristiano Ronaldo Advises Neymar To Move To Man Utd Over PSG
Barcelona’s Neymar is currently the hottest property in the transfer market, with reports claiming PSG have submitted a world record transfer bid worth €222 million to secure the forward’s services.
However, there are a few top players in Spain who do not believe PSG is the right club for the Brazilian international, and surprisingly, Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo is one of them.
According to the Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the Portuguese winger recently contacted Neymar, and suggested him to reject the move to Paris Saint-Germain and make a switch to Manchester United instead.
It is understood that Cristiano contacted the 25-year-old on social networking application WhatsApp, where he pointed out the lack of charm and following at the clubs in Ligue 1, as compared to their English and Spanish counterparts.
While PSG are yet to win the Champions League, Neymar himself has won it with the Catalan club by defeating Juventus 3-1 in the finals back in 2015-16.
The former Santos player has also been linked with Manchester United, who certainly have the financial power to rival PSG’s bid – considering the high-valued buys of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku. But doubts remain over whether the English giants are willing to spend such a large amount on a single player.
Meanwhile, the Parc Des Princes outfit is looking for an entire renovation of their squad as a part of an overhaul, after Monaco’s Ligue 1 triumph over the Parisian Club. With a flurry of changes, they hope to put up a strong challenge for the league title in the upcoming season.
Neymar, who has already proven himself on the world level, has scored 105 goals in 186 appearances for the Catalan club so far. Since his move from Santos, he has won 8 major trophies in total, including the UCL, two La Liga titles, and a FIFA Club World Cup.
