Ronald Koeman, however, is still hungry for more signings, and according to reports mentioned in the Mirror, Danny Welbeck is being eyed as their next big target.

The club has been chasing Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, but has only faced failure in that situation so far. As plan B, the Merseyside outfit is now planning a shocking move for the other striker in the North London side, Danny Welbeck. The striker has failed to have an impact with the Gunners, and the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette might further dent his hopes of gaining more game time. With former partner Wayne Rooney now at Everton, a move there might be a career-changing decision Welbeck could make.

However, the defender seems focused on playing for Middlesbrough at the moment, and help them gain promotion into the Premier League.
