Here’s How Ronaldo Helped Man City Sign Bernardo Silva
Bernardo Silva has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo played an important role in his decision to join Manchester City.
Bernardo Silva, who is teammates with Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani for Portugal, has revealed that the former Man United pair talked him into joining the Citizens.
The Portuguese playmaker joined Pep Guardiola at the Etihad in a £43 million move from Ligue 1 champions Monaco earlier this summer.
Talking to the press, Silva said: “Cristiano and Nani both told me that Manchester is a great city. Of course, they played for United, but they said that both clubs are amazing and that I would enjoy the Premier League because it’s the best league, the stadiums are always full, and the people love football.”

He continued: “They lived outside the centre, while I am staying in the city. Since I arrived I have realized that the city is great and that the people are really nice. The only thing is the weather. That has been a little bit of a shock, but the city is great – and so are the people. I like it a lot.”
The midfielder recently joined up with the Manchester City squad following an extended break, which he was given after playing in the Confederations Cup for Portugal during the summer.
Manchester City have recruited some big money signing during the summer transfer window, including Bernardo Silva. The other high profile signings at the Etihad include Benjamin Mendy, Kyle Walker, and Ederson.
