PSG Star Wanted By Chelsea Prefers Old Trafford Move
After being on Manchester United’s radar for the better part of the summer transfer window, reports have once again surfaced indicating that PSG right-back Serge Aurier might be headed to Old Trafford in a deal worth £27 million on the table.
However, Chelsea have also shown a keen interest in signing the Ivory Coast international. The Blues have previously made efforts to lure the highly-rated player, but the deal reportedly fell through. Now, the reigning Premier League champions seem adamant to hijack United’s attempt.
Moreover, any move to England is being stalled by a pending court case against the 24-year old. The charges levied on him were due to a brawl with a policeman that the player was found guilty of. The case hinders the proceedings of securing a work visa.
After the arrival of veteran wing-back Dani Alves, Aurier can all but forget being the first choice selection for the French club. This provides more incentive for the youngster to head to a different league.

Following his team’s Community Shield defeat to Arsenal, Antonio Conte will be desperate to make the signing. The Chelsea boss has repeatedly voiced his frustration with the transfer business of the English club this summer. A backline that will be without John Terry seems shaky for a title defense in the upcoming season.
Jose Mourinho, on the other hand, has time and again shown interest in the right-back. With the signing of Lindelof this summer, the Red Devils look to secure their back four, which currently only has Antonio Valencia to provide wing support owing to injury woes.
Paris United suggest that Aurier personally prefers a move to Old Trafford. If the deal comes through, it will bring much-needed stability to the Portuguese’s team.
