Schmeichel Warns Manchester United About Rashford Treatment
Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has warned the club to treat Marcus Rashford carefully.
The legendary goalkeeper has stated that he wants Marcus Rashford to be give sufficient amount of time to recover from his sudden and fast introduction to United’s first team.
The young English starlet has been in dazzling form for the Red Devils ever since his debut against FC Midtjylland, and has since scored important goals against big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City to keep United in the Top 4 race.
However, Schmeichel is worried that Rashford could suffer from burnout if he is not given sufficient time to recover by manager Louis van Gaal.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Sunday, Schmeichel said: “I like the boy Rashford, he is an incredible talent and I am seriously looking forward to the future, but he is a young lad and he needs to be eased into the game.
“He is doing well at the moment, but playing every game can ruin him. It doesn’t have to be much wrong to set him back a long, long time.”
