Premier League Trio Keen To Sign 23-Year-Old PSG Forward
German football sensation Julian Draxler is being linked with a move away from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, having just signed for them in the January transfer window earlier this year.
Draxler is yet to feature for PSG this season, and with the arrival of world record signing Neymar from Barcelona, the German international could find life difficult in Paris despite signing a deal until 2021.
According to a reports in Mirror, Draxler is wanted by a host of Premier League clubs, who are said to be monitoring his situation at PSG. The likes of Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to get the German winger in order to bolster their options in attack.
The 23-year-old has impressed during his time at PSG with 10 goals in 25 outings, and it is a surprise that Unai Emery is willing to part ways with the player.
Reports claim that after sealing a whopping move for Neymar, the French giants are now eyeing another blockbuster move for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe has been left on the bench by Monaco in their previous two Ligue 1 matches this season, as the club feels they could lose the teenager for around £160m. If Mbappe does arrive at PSG, then Draxler will be forced out of the club, and therefore, it opens up a chance for the English clubs to make a significant offer.
The former Schalke player won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Germany, and also this year’s Confederations Cup, and adding him into any squad will be an icing on the cake. Arsenal are fond of Draxler, and Arsene Wenger could use him as a long term prospect, with the uncertainty surrounding Alexis Sanchez.
Liverpool too, face a tough task in keeping hold of Philippe Coutinho with Barcelona’s constant knock at the door, and Jurgen Klopp could be tempted to go for the versatile German player.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is keen to add a winger to his squad, and with United left frustrated with Inter Milan’s valuation of Ivan Perisic, Draxler could be a coup given his age.
The next 10 days will give fans a clear indication on where the German international will stand, as the summer transfer window enters its final chapter.
