‘F***’ Barca! PSG Attempt To Ruin Barcelona’s Transfer Window
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly told Jean Michael Seri to ‘F*** Barcelona’, according to the player’s agent.
Seri has been linked with a potential move to the Nou Camp this summer, and is subject to heavy interest from the Catalan giants. Barcelona have reportedly been preparing a bid that will match the Nice star’s £36 million buyout clause, but PSG are attempting to intervene and block his move to Spain.
Seri’s agent, Franklin Mala, told RAC1: “Three days ago, PSG phoned the president of Nice and only for one reason — to screw Barca over. Now PSG are putting pressure on the club to take the player. It’s crazy. They just want to do it to f*** Barca.
“I don’t understand it. ‘Technical decision’ is what I have seen, but no one said anything to me. Barca knew his capabilities. When you want a player you follow him for a while. It was possible to reach an agreement with Barca, a great club.
“That’s why they were negotiating with Nice this week. It was Seri’s dream. Nobody understands anything, but we will see.”
This whole incident points to a fractious relationship between Barca and PSG, who have been after each other’s players for most of this summer.
It kicked off with the Liga Santander side showing an interest in securing a deal for Marco Verratti, but the Ligue 1 side didn’t entertain any bids for their star, and rejected Barca’s offers. PSG then went in with an unfathomable bid of £198 million for Neymar, and Barca obviously couldn’t turn it down.
The French club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, went on to deny that the signing of Neymar was a form of revenge for interest in Verratti, but if Mala’s claims have any truth to them, then it is clear that PSG are out to get Barca.
Despite these rumours though, Seri admits that he does not believe he has played his final game for Nice and, while he would be delighted to see a move to Spain go through, he is still content with life at Nice, and wouldn’t be disappointed if the move fell through.
Speaking earlier this week, Seri said: “We’ll see about my future, but I don’t believe this was my last game for Nice. If it happens with Barcelona, that’s good, otherwise I am happy in Nice.”
