Premier League Giants Offer Their Star Player To Arsenal For Alexis Sanchez
Manchester City are set to make a sensational offer for Alexis Sanchez, and are even supposedly ready to throw in Raheem Sterling as part of the deal in order to convince Arsenal to sell him.
Sanchez has been desperate to leave the Emirates this summer in order to ‘win more trophies’, and sees a move to City as the perfect way to realize those ambitions.
The Citizens are equally desperate to sign the winger, with Pep Guardiola seeing him as the ideal fit in his team filled with big-money signings as they aim to challenge for the Premier League title as well as go all the way in the Champions League for the first time in their history.
According to claims made by Chilean media T13, Sanchez has requested permission to leave the national squad in order to ‘conduct personal business’. Moreover, Sky Sports News‘s sources have also claimed that City are ready to send Raheem Sterling the other way as part of the deal.
Sterling has struggled to nail down a place in Guardiola’s side of late, despite jumping to their rescue from the bench with late goals against Everton and Bournemouth. The Englishman is also said to be open to the move, and with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to move to Chelsea, it be the perfect chance for Sterling to become the main man at Arsenal.
The Gunners are said to have enquired about the possibility of signing Sergio Aguero instead, but City have insisted that he is not for sale, as the Argentine continues to be a vital part of their squad.
Reports recently claimed that Sanchez made it clear that he will only agree to sign a new contract at Arsenal if it makes him the highest paid player in the Premier League. He has been desperately looking for a way out of the club, even though Wenger claims otherwise.
After the embarrassment at Anfield, it would be wise to let go of players that do not want to be at the club anymore, so letting go of Sanchez and getting Sterling in return – a player who seems like he wants to play for the club – could prove to be good for the Gunners.
