Real Madrid are still keen to sign Manchester United star David De Gea, despite having failed on numerous occasions.

It’s no secret that Real Madrid have tried to sign De Gea with all their might in the past. In 2015, the Spaniard almost became a Galactico, but his transfer collapsed in the final hours of deadline day, after Manchester United failed to process the paperwork in time.

At that time, Keylor Navas, Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper, was all set to head o Old Trafford as a part of the exchange deal.

In the aftermath of the failed transfer, the relationship between Manchester United and Real Madrid turned sour, and two of the greatest clubs in the world saw a number of transfer approaches rejected between them. United tried to sign Alvaro Morata this summer, but Real kept stalling the deal to frustrate the Red Devils.

Los Blancos reportedly contacted the English giants yet again for De Gea this summer, but no agreement could be reached between the clubs, and the shot-stopper remains at the Old Trafford for now. However, according to Don Balon, Real Madrid are not giving up on their pursuit of the 26-year-old just yet.

The reigning European Champions feel they have a great chance of signing the player who wants to come to Real Madrid. Yet, they are aware that reaching an agreement with Manchester United will prove to be a difficult task, due to their recent bad blood with the Mancunian outfit.
