The rumors of David De Gea signing for Real Madrid never die, out with speculation around the Spaniard’s future coming up almost every year.

However, the Manchester United goalkeeper now seems to have eased the fears of a number of club fans, by moving into a new plush pad very near to his mansion.

Earlier, the Spanish international had put his royal mansion worth £3.85 million on sale, which scared the fans, who speculated that he was leaving for Real Madrid. However, now that De Gea has rented a new place, it seems that the player is keen to stay at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid have been knocking on the door of Manchester United for years now to avail the services of De Gea. Los Blancos came very close to signing the player in the summer of 2015, when an agreement was in place, but the transfer collapsed on the deadline day due to incomplete paperwork.

Yet, Real Madrid have tried to sign De Gea in both the summer transfer windows since the unpleasant situation of 2015.

Club president Florentino Perez is said to a big admirer of the Spanish goalkeeper, which is why the Whites have been coming in with offers for De Gea. However, the La Liga giants have been unable to strike an agreement with the Premier League club.

In the light of recent news, it now seems that De Gea might have made his mind to settle in Manchester. A source said: “They have only moved around the corner, but he will still have plenty of packing to do.

“He has numerous Man of the Match awards to ship and has hired local firm Osbournes to do the heavy lifting. It looks like good news for the club, and the fans should not be losing any sleep, he has long-term plans here.”
