OFFICIAL: Anders Lindegaard Completes Burnley Move

Anders Lindegaard has signed a deal with Premier League side Burnley until the end of the season.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper has been training with Burnley after he was brought in by Sean Dyche, after their captain, Tom Heaton’s, picked up an injury and had an operation performed on his dislocated shoulder.
It was reported by Burnley’s official website that Lindegaard, who trained for over a week with the Clarets before putting pen to paper, will be given jersey number 22 at Turf Moor. The Denmark international will be competing with Nick Pope and Adam Legzdins for the No 1 spot in Heaton’s injury-forced absence.
Talking to Clarets Player HD, the 33-year-old said: “I’ve had a good week here and I’ve had a very good impression of the whole club and all the people here. It’s not hard to fit in nicely here.
“It seems like an honest place and a very hard-working place and I appreciate being a part of it. I have seen the first two games Nick has played and he’s done very well. I have a lot of respect for that. I am here to try and sharpen up the competition in the goalkeepers’ department and we’ll see what happens down the line.
“I feel good physically and I still want to play. I come here with a good spirit and I have a lot of enthusiasm for getting started. I sensed from the first day I came in there was a good atmosphere, that things are in a good place, and it has paid off with a good start to the season.”
The Danish goalkeeper started 29 games for Manchester United before moving to West Bromwich Albion in August, 2015. He later joined Preston, initially on loan, in January 2016, where he spent 18 months before signing for the Clarets.
