After landing record breaking deals for Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe from Barcelona and AS Monaco respectively, Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a move for Alexis Sanchez.

The biggest highlight since the Brazilian’s arrival in Paris has been his on-pitch squabble with teammate Edinson Cavani over a spot-kick. The Uruguayan, the designated penalty taker for the French side, refused to hand over the ball to Neymar, who initially won the penalty.

The incident aggravated in the dressing room, where both players were reportedly involved in a bust-up. The argument rose to a stage where the former Barca man demanded PSG to sell Cavani, according to SPORT.

Surprisingly, the Ligue 1 giants have already found their prime candidate for the replacement of the former Napoli striker, and club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi appears set to make a swoop for Sanchez, according to The Sun. The wantaway Arsenal man has entered the final year of his contract, and is yet to extend his stay in North London.

The talented front-man enjoyed a fruitful campaign last time around despite the poor title challenge offered by the Gunners. The Chile international managed to net 27 goals and bag assist 13 across all competitions, winning the FA Cup in the process.

PSG are set to offer the Chilean a whopping £400,000-a-week deal for his services, giving Manchester City a tough competition.

Pep Guardiola was desperate to be reunited with the former Barca man in order to step up his side’s attacking prowess. While Sanchez is certainly capable of that, the Mancunians now face tight competition from the French giants, who seem to have no limit to their transfer budget.

The 28-year-old, alongside Mbappe and Neymar, could form one of the most lethal attacking trios in Europe, and that’s exactly what Unai Emery wants to see.
