Marco Asensio has emerged as one of the most talented youngsters in world football. Judging his sharp rise in the game, the youngster was recently offered a lucrative extension by Real Madrid, which saw his weekly wages hiked massively, as a part of the new deal.

The player as well as the club seem to be very pleased with the latest contract, however, some of Asensio’s team-mates aren’t enjoying the big deal earned by the youngster.

It is believed that the 21-year-old has entered the elite class of a few top earners at Real Madrid with his new deal. While some of the players are happy seeing the young Spaniard climbing the ladder of success, the news hasn’t gone down well with some prominent members at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to Don Balon, Toni Kroos has been left with feelings of jealousy due to the big contract signed by Asensio. The German recently signed an extension at Real Madrid himself, and he accepted a reasonable offer from the club. However, looking at the young starlet’s salary, Kroos is determined to earn a renewed deal with improved wages.

Kroos believes that his role at Real Madrid often goes under the radar, and he isn’t rightly appreciated by the La Liga club. As a result, the player wants an improved contract in order to feel valued at the Spanish capital.
