Manchester United are hoping that Paul Pogba will be fully fit and ready to play again by the end of October.

The Frenchman has been forced to watch his teammates continue the club’s marvelous start to the season from the sidelines over the past month, having picked up a hamstring injury after 19 minutes of the Reds’ 3-0 Champions League win over FC Basel on the 12th of September.

Having initially feared that the injury was a ‘long term’ one, United boss Jose Mourinho will be delighted by the news of Pogba’s early return to light training, especially after losing Marouane Fellaini to injury earlier this week, and with Michael Carrick also carrying a knock.

Pogba has taken to social media on several occasions over the last couple of weeks to keep the fans updated about his recovery and rehabilitation. He recently posted videos of him running on a treadmill, and doing some ‘Bruce Lee’ type exercises.

Despite initial fears over the length of his injury layoff, the 24-year-old’s progress has been very encouraging, and as per The Independenthe may even make his comeback against Swansea in the Carabao Cup on October 24, which will then make him an option for the club’s crucial fixture at home against Tottenham just four days later.
