Alexis Sanchez’s wish for an Arsenal exit has not been a quiet issue since it was first brought to attention.

The Chilean is undoubtedly the Gunners’ best attacking threat, and has been an influential goalscorer and provider since making his debut back in 2014.

But that hasn’t stopped Sanchez, whose current contract at the club expires at the end of the season, from already looking for better options.

The talented frontman was reportedly pushing for a switch from Arsenal, and was linked with a move to Man City. The transfer, however, eventually failed to materialise, and the Chilean ended up staying in London.

Nonetheless, despite Wenger’s claim of the relationship between the former Barca man and the club being soundly stable, the situation clearly doesn’t seem so.

The video below shows an awkward moment between the French tactician and his star signing sharing an awkward moment of mutual rejection.

The pair can be seen snubbing a handshake all the while the Frenchman obliged to the greeting from Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil. Surprisingly, or not so surprisingly, the wantaway Arsenal man seemingly did not feel the need for a formal greeting, which seems to be shared by the gaffer as well.

Meanwhile, the incident did not sit well with the Gooners, who quickly went into a state of meltdown after witnessing the tension within their team. While some were enraged by the mentality the former Barcelona winger has brought to the club, others were panicking from contemplating his departure.

Ultimately, it can only be inferred that the situation in North London seems to be completely different from what the followers have been told of. The 28-year-old is widely expected to be cashed in during the upcoming winter transfer window, instead of being allowed to leave for free at the end of the season.
