Roy Keane Explains Why Man City Should Keep Winning
Manchester United have remained unbeaten so far this season, and are currently second in the Premier League standings, two points behind their rivals Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side has been ruthless so far, scoring 29 goals in just 8 matches.
United legend Roy Keane, in an interview, however, suggested that it will suit the Red Devils to let their inter-city rivals get all the credit at the moment, and themselves remain ‘under the radar’.
“It will suit the United camp at the moment to let City get all the credit at the moment. United are in a sense under the radar, but they are getting results and clean sheets. That gives you the foundations to get trophies,” Keane stated.
The Red Devils haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013, the year Sir Alex Ferguson retired, but they are considered one of the favourites to win the trophy this season. United’s rock-solid defense has also been emphatic in Europe, only leaking a CSKA Moscow consolation goal last month.
Man City too, won the league three years ago, but they look a more formidable and dangerous side under the ex-Barcelona manager.
Both sides are top of their groups in the Champions League, having won all three matches so far. They return to Premier League action this weekend, as United travel to Huddersfield, while City host Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.
