Ander Herrera Could Make A Stunning Switch To La Liga In January
The Catalan giants are reportedly keen on bagging the Spaniard as early as possible, even if it means paying a hefty amount, despite the fact that they could potentially get him for free.
Herrera’s current contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of this year, and even though the Red Devils have a clause to extend his deal for another season, they are not willing to agree upon the Spaniard’s pay-raise demands.
Furthermore, with the arrival of Nemanja Matic, who was brought in from Chelsea by manager Jose Mourinho, as well as the encouraging form of Marouane Fellaini, has pushed the former Athletic Bilbao star further down the pecking order.

And now, as per Mirror, La Liga giants Barcelona could take advantage of the 28-year-old’s current situation, and try to lure him to his homeland as early as January.
The Catalan side was tipped to make a bid next summer, but due to the turn of events – from Herrera being United’s Player of the Year last season to getting dropped to the bench by Mourinho this year – La Blaugrana are reportedly preparing to make a swoop for the Spaniard when the transfer window re-opens in January.
With the Special One potentially willing to cash-in on the Spanish international, Barca could finally sign a proper replacement for club veteran Andres Iniesta. The 28-year-old has started just two games in the Premier League so far this season, and has made 4 appearances off the bench for the Old Trafford club.
