Carlos Soler To Manchester United: “Move Possible, With Only Two Conditions”

Premier League heavyweights Manchester United have reportedly started off with their transfer business, as they target Valencia’s ace midfielder Carlos Soler.
The 20-year-old is already being regarded as one of the brightest talents in La Liga, and with midfielders Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini out of contract next summer, manager Jose Mourinho is ‘pushing to wrap up’ a deal with Valencia.
Mourinho is prepared to pay up to £30 million in order to bring Soler to Old Trafford, but the deal seems to be far more ‘complicated’ than it appears.
Initially, Daily Mail reported that the Special One was keen to sign the Spanish midfielder for up to £30 million, but Super Deporte officially claimed that Valencia CF had ‘denied any contact with Manchester United for Carlos Soler’.
Furthermore, the Spanish outlet labelled the purchase, if the transfer was to go through, as ‘complicated,’ stating that along with the £30 million price tag, a massive €80 million release clause also needed to be taken care of by the Red Devils if they wished to acquire Soler’s services.
And now, according Deporte Valenciano (via Sport Witness), there seems to be another ‘sarcastic’ yet non-negotiable clause which United, would need to be handled in order to sign the Spaniard. Their report stated that the “move is possible, with only two conditions: Manchester United need to pay the release clause, and the player must be convinced to move. Take it or leave it.”
It was further claimed that the La Liga club was “pretty certain that Soler is fine at Valencia” and that “United would have to work to convince him to make such a move”. Moreover, Los Murcielagos won’t be letting their star man leave for a mere £30 million, and would only agree to sell if the offer lies in the range of his release clause.
Mourinho sees Soler as a potential contender to play alongside the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the future, and hence, wants to be done with the 20-year-old’s transfer before other top clubs start bidding on the Spaniard.
